One of my goals for 2017 was to grow my studio wardrobe to include several gowns for expecting clients to use for maternity photos. This Fall’s additions might be my favorite. We have several gowns from Sew Trendy Accessories, but this off-the-shoulder beauty in gold is absolutely stunning. I ordered this dress style in evergreen and gold; perfect colors for Autumn. Mykala was just the right momma to model this maternity dress. Not everyone can rock gold, but she looked amazing in it.
The Autumn leaves had really started turning this week, and the Alaskan landscape truly complimented the dress Mykala wore. Since we had planned this session last minute, she wasn’t sure what to have Roderick wear for their family maternity photos. “Can he just wear his uniform?” she asked. “Yes! Oh course. Perfect!” Seriously, how cute are they? I work with SO many military families and very few choose to wear their uniform, so thank you Roderick! Thank you for your service, AND for looking sharp for family photos. You all looked great.
This baby will be the Dixons’ second little girl. Roderick and Mykala are excited for Hayden to have a friend and playmate for a sibling. Hayden was really excited and full of energy while we captured their maternity photos. I seriously love a spirited, silly kid during family sessions. The little characters are the ones who bring so much life to family portraits. Hayden did slow down for a few minutes to talk to her baby sister and rub mom’s belly. As the evening went on I could tell she was getting sleepy, so I asked Mkala to just hold her and snuggle her. These moments were so tender. There is something super special about first babies. Soon Hayden won’t be the only baby, so I’m glad we captured a few sweet moments of Mykala with her first little girl. Dixon family, thank you for a lovely evening. Your maternity photos make me swoon.
