Family Camping | Las Vegas Family Photographer

Being a military family, through and through, it’s rare that we are ALL home for holidays, summer vacations, or special occasions. This summer my siblings and I were all home, and my parents wanted to make the very most of it. Two summers ago, we took our little family camping with them at Lake Cayuta. However, Josh could not get leave to come home that summer. Another summer, my sister and her husband were home, but we were way up in Alaska. Our brother is away pretty often. You get the idea, right? It’s pretty great when we’re together.

I made sure to document every bit of our family camping vacay. We went fishing and tubing on grandpa’s boat, roasted marshmallows, caught fireflies, and enjoyed slow mornings sipping coffee at the campsite. This little campground is so quiet, and is the perfect place to camp with kids. This is my happy place. Wherever we can be together.
