Planning Your Maternity Photography
As a maternity photographer, I have the honor of watching many families grow. I recommend having maternity portraits created between 28 and 35 weeks gestation, and you’ll want to schedule your appointments with me a month or two before. This is the time period when most mothers-to-be are showing and still feel like a glowing momma. I have a collection of maternity gowns available for my expecting clients, and will help you find coordinating wardrobe for your family. If you wish to have your hair styled or makeup professionally applied, I can help arrange that too. We want you to look and feel your best for this special occasion.
Maternity Session Day
Maternity photography may be captured outdoors or in the studio. Maternity sessions with young children included very often look a lot like my family sessions, with much more focus on mom. I will pose you with your family, and then allow that family connection to shine in the candid moments. As for the star of this show, mom, you can relax. I will be there to guide you and make sure that you look beautiful.
After Your Session
About a week after the session, we will meet in the studio for your proof viewing. Here, you will be able to choose your images, and I’ll assist you with wall art and album design. I have an expertly curated collection of frames, wood prints, and album choices to compliment your maternity portraits. Production time varies with individual items, but print products are typically ready for pick up within eight weeks of your completed order.
