Planning Your Newborn Session
As a newborn photographer, I have the honor of watching many families grow. You will want to book your newborn session 2 to 3 months prior to your due date to ensure availability. I’ll place your due date on my calendar to reserve the session, but we’ll set a firm date once baby is born. We will meet for a consultation either in-person or by phone, to gather your wishes for styling your newborn photography. This will also give us a chance to get comfortable with one another, so that no introductions are needed on your session day. While you finish growing a baby, I’ll work to make sure all of the details are ready for your newborn session.
Newborn Session Day
Newborn photography is typically captured when babies are between 3 and 14-days-old. I provide all of the wraps, outfits, hats, headbands, props, and other elements to create beautiful newborn portraits. You do not need to bring anything to your session other than what is needed to feed and care for your child. Newborn sessions are about three hours long, and include bean bag poses, prop poses, and family poses.

After Your Session
About a week after the session, we will meet in the studio for your proof viewing. Here, you will be able to choose your images, and I’ll assist you with wall art and album design. I have an expertly curated collection of frames, wood prints, and album choices to compliment your maternity portraits. Production time varies with individual items, but print products are typically ready for pick up within eight weeks of your completed order.
If you’re thinking about planning a newborn session with me, please reach out to schedule a consultation so that we can meet and discuss your dream newborn photography.
