Newborn Photography
Your baby’s newborn stage is fleeting and precious. Let me help you keep those tender moments forever.
Newborns change so quickly in those first few weeks. With newborn photography, you can hold onto the image of exactly how squishy and small they once were. You will want to book your newborn session 2 to 3 months prior to your due date to ensure availability. I’ll place your due date on my calendar to reserve the session, but we’ll set a firm date once baby is born. For the session, you wont need to bring anything that you wouldn’t normally take on an outing with your baby. I’ve been photographing babies since 2014, and have gathered a collection of props and cozy styling pieces for newborn sessions. We will discuss your color preferences and desires before your session, and I’ll have everything ready to create beautifully artful newborn photos for you.
What Does a newborn Session Include?
Newborn sessions take place in my Anchorage studio.
YOUR EXPERIENCE
is so important to me!
01
Consult
First, schedule a phone call with me. This is your chance to have your questions answered, for me to get to know you a bit, and for us to begin gathering details for your session.
02
Prep
Together we’ll plan all of the details of your session. You’ll have my expert guidance for outfits, timing, and everything necessary to ensure a successful session. I’ll gather your wishes for color scheme and styling elements before your newborn session, so that I can have everything set up when you arrive.
03
Session
Newborn photography is typically captured when babies are between 3 and 14-days-old. I provide all of the wraps, outfits, hats, headbands, props, and other elements to create beautiful newborn portraits. You do not need to bring anything to your session other than what is needed to feed and care for your child. Newborn sessions are about three hours long, and include blanket poses, prop poses, and family poses.
04
Viewing
About one week after your session we’ll meet in the studio to view your proofs. At this time, you will select your final print or digital products for purchase. I have an expertly curated collection of frames, wood prints, and album choices to compliment your family photography.
05
Delivery
Heirloom print products and digital files may take up to eight weeks for final delivery. My partners and I strive to get them to you sooner, but we have quality production in mind.
What will it cost?
Each session is a customized experience for my clients.
There is a session retainer fee of $250 to hold your date on my schedule for newborn sessions. Printed art starts at $250. Your total investment will depend upon the final products that you wish to have created. Please schedule a consult with me and we’ll chat about your options!
